Criteria for nomination in AAPT positions

Criteria for candidates in President Position:

1. Being a Physiotherapist
2. Having management and leadership experience
3. fluency in English language
4. Computer skill
5. Being an active member of AAPT at least 6 year
6. Being a well-known and an eligible person
7. Preference for those who has experience of AAPT executive committee.
8. Being a volunteer for AAPT works at least 50% of involvement per day.
9. Based is in Kabul
10. A person cannot be president more than two times unless there is a gape in between,

• Criteria for candidacy Vice President Position:

1. Being a Physiotherapist
2. Having management and leadership experience
3. fluency in English language
4. Computer skill
5. Being an active member of AAPT at least 4 years
6. Being a well-known and an eligible person
7. Preference for those who has experience of AAPT executive committee.
8. Being a volunteer for AAPT works at least 30% of involvement per day.
9. Based in Kabul
10. A person cannot be president more than two time unless there is a gape in between,

• Criteria for position of Secretary:

1. Being a Physiotherapist
2. Having management experience
3. fluency in English language
4. Computer skill
5. Being a well-known and an eligible person
6. Being a volunteer for AAPT works at least 30% of involvement per day.
7. Based in Kabul

• Criteria for position of Finance officer:

1. Being a Physiotherapist
2. Having financial experience
3. having English language skill
4. having Computer skill
5. Being a volunteer for AAPT works at least 5 hours of involvement per week.
6. Based in Kabul

• Criteria for position of Publication officer:

1. Being a Physiotherapist
2. Having Publication experience
3. Fluency in English language skill
4. having Computer skill
5. Being a volunteer for AAPT works at least 5 hours of involvement per week.
6. Based in Kabul

• Criteria for position of Continuing Education officer:

1. Being a Physiotherapist
2. Having teaching experience
3. Fluency in English language skill
4. Having Computer skill
5. Being a volunteer for AAPT works at least 5 hours of involvement per week.
6. Based in Kabul

• Criteria for position of Regional Representatives:

1. Being a Physiotherapist
2. Having management and leadership experience
3. Having English language skill
4. Having Computer skill
5. Be able to travel to Kabul
6. Being a volunteer for AAPT works at least 5 hours of involvement per week.
7. Based in related region

Criteria of voting:

1. Members should have active membership as per the final AAPT report.
2. Generally voting is secret.
3. Member should have AAPT recent ID card
4. Member can vote only once
5. Member cannot vote on behave of their colleagues.
6. Member cannot vote by phone or messages they should be present physically but in certain case prior the election member should inform the election committee if they want to vote by email or sms so the time, mobile number or email ID will be specified in advance.
7. Students who have more than two year AAPT membership they can vote?
8. Any members who have less than one year membership they can’t vote.
9. Non Physiotherapists member cannot vote.

Election procedure:

Every three years there should be an election of executive committee.

First the candidates will fill the application form and submit it to AAPT office either hard or soft copy then the election committee member assessed the candidates eligibility according to the criteria of the related position  then they announce the nomination of person if he or she will be eligible.

An election committee will formed in general meeting through election by present members, the election committee determines location of election in each region and they will travel to the every region and monitor the election process transparently after counting they will announce the result in the same region and then bring it to the general assembly.

AAPT will prepare list of active members with voting papers and submit to the election committee members.

A box will placed and members allowed to vote as per AAPT list then received voting paper and they will tick voting paper behind a curtain and put it on the box in front of election committee members.

When the election is over the election committee, in front of all members opening the box and counting and announcing the election result.

Regional representative and regional committee will be elected by their regional members with the same procedures.
